I hate to agree, but I can't really feel anything positive about her. I liked her at first, she seemed kind of interesting. But as time has gone by it just seems as if she is far more interested in posting pics of her Gucci suits etc. Her fashion label was a bit of a meh moment even though she went to St Martins. The Daniel Wang post did her no favours, and it's unlikely anyone is going to accuse him of being bitchy for no reason. He seems to be one of the loveliest people in house music. She played the game very well, but I feels as if it's been a game.

Step down from the mic. Learn the history. Hawtin didn't "turn into a minimal geek," he basically invented minimal techno in 1992 or so along with Robert Hood and Jeff Mills, some 10 years or so before RA ever existed. And yes, Villalobos was "famous" well before you discovered him on the interwebz — look up his early work on Frisbee or remixing Der Dritte Raum — and imo, the sets I've experienced from him have been transformational (granted that all tour-weary djs have down sets). So before we start talking legacy, you might want to take save the mansplaining and misogyny and start listening. Peggy Gou releases some damn deep cuts and as a DJ who has been spinning since the early 90s, I appreciate her sound and style.

marketable trendy person in house music. I think each genre has such representatives that are living on youtube and showing they sexuality more than playing the good music. Some djs I feel like turn out to be so popular out of nowhere; they have average skills, average selection but they are popular others need to lick their arses to promote tracks. For example when RA forced minimal to be popular - suddenly Villalobos became famous; I mean a lot of his sets were straight trash, Hawtin had to turned into a minimal geek also. Then Innervisions probably paid them to make Dixon a #1 dj for 4 straight years. Innervisions label just produce a cliche drumcodish progressive music. Nowadays it’s house music with hawaiican prints all over the place. Trends are come and go. But what’s the legacy after all?

Average house music. Maybe not the worst, but after a few decades of digesting and regurgitating house music (and electronic music in general), i just hear influences, but absolutly nothing original, or interesting. There is nothing she can dig and put on the table, that somebody else didn′t play even before her. A totally media hyped person. I saw one of these Boiler Room videos and she is on of those victims acting out cool. I don't feel really sorry for that generation but, all these kids pretending to dance and having a good time, while they are floundering around this highly stressed DJ, who plays music she hardly can relate to and acts like she is doing brain surgery while just trying to match the beat .... There was a time in dance music history, when the 'music' was the center of attraction and not the DJ. Some of them were even hiding their faces and it the term "underground music" made a more sense. But this is absolutely cringeworthy.
